Diane Ranger: The Mother of Mineral Makeup

Diane Richardson Ranger is president and founder of Colorescience. Diane is a thirty year veteran
in the cosmetics industry.  Diane has a master's degree from the University of Houston and over
twenty years of cosmetic chemistry lab experience in research and development.

Diane created the mineral makeup concept, creating Bare Escentuals in 1976.
She left this company (which later became Bare Minerals) in 1990 to concentrate on her
passion for mineral makeup product development. She has even formulated mineral makeup
for cosmetic brands including Jane Iredale.

With Colorescience, Diane Ranger wanted to stay away from what she calls the seven deadly
skins: mineral oils, dyes, perfumes, talcs, emulsifiers, preservatives and alcohol which can
damage a complexion. Diane has evolutionized her original loose mineral concept into an
